Server logs
When you open a page, the hosting provider automatically records the request: IP address, date and time, the file requested, and usually browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the page and to keep the server secure, and is the only processing that happens by default. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in operating the site safely. The host deletes these logs after a short period. Hosting is provided by OVH.
No tracking
I use no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. Individual pages, in particular the course material, may store your progress locally in your browser and may load content from third parties.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of your data, and object to its processing. If you believe your data is handled unlawfully, you can complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at).
